Set against the sweeping ocean views of Maraetai, this project was all about enhancing one of the area’s most enviable properties.

Having worked with these clients for years, we were once again entrusted to help elevate their luxury home this time with a focus on maximising street appeal and creating better shelter from the coastal elements.

The home already held a commanding position with stunning water views, but our clients wanted to refresh the exterior and give the property a striking new presence.

The brief called for a general facelift that balanced bold design with long lasting materials, while also providing greater protection from the weather that comes with its elevated, ocean facing outlook.

Details

A key part of the transformation was the complete rebuild of the ageing composite decks.

These were replaced with Outdure composite decking, designed for durability and minimal maintenance.

To frame the outlook and provide shelter without compromising the panoramic views, we constructed a structural engineered pergola a sleek, modern addition that feels both strong and unobtrusive.

To further enhance the architectural style, a barn-style sliding door was introduced, clad in Weathergroove Weathertex panels.

This feature not only adds depth and character to the façade but also offers practical functionality. The finishing touches came with powder-coated cap flashings, ensuring durability and a sharp, modern aesthetic.
